Needing creative energy!!

Well, I had these ball jars (I have more), and wanted to make them into votives. I think they turned out fairly cute, however everyone is their own worst critic. I have trouble with this. Does anyone else out there in blog-land... make something, stand back, and wonder if anyone is going to pay .02 for it. I love to create, and love to make things but, of course, the magic is if someone else understands it, loves it, and wants/needs to have it! I get the biggest thrill out of selling my handmade creative stuff. But, the angst comes in when I finish it, and think I need to do something else, or add this, or what am I going to price it?..... Can you tell I'm in need of creative energy. I think I need a spa day.....:)

I think they're darling- that was my first thought when I saw them, even before I read your comments. And even if you put them out for sale and they don't sell, don't think they aren't cute- you might just not be offering them to the right crowd. I've taken things to a show one week and sold next to nothing, and then next week with a different crowd and show done great.

Hi Bethie, I can totally relate to how you feel. I tend to be super critical on my creations and always found pricing it hard because I get so attached I think it's worth a million yet I worry to if anyone would think it worth a penny. So I just ignore inner critic and go for it. I think they are perfectly lovely! oh by the way, Daisy is doing great! she just had her 3 month birthday and she's only half wild now and sleeping through the night, using the crate per your suggestion. She has also learned to sit so she goes around sitting just to show off thinking she'll get a treat everytime, it's so cute. Blessings, Laura
